News Report: Week 1
The evening news report is hard to miss, with the giant TV screens on some of the larger buildings displaying the report so that even those without a TV or phone to watch on can stay informed. Anyone walking, stuck in traffic or taking the train will likely see the broadcast at least once, if not twice as they head home for the day.
"In tonight's top stories, the trend of bad luck in the mining sector continues as there was yet another explosion in the Quarry. Witnesses reported seeing men covered in black and white spandex wearing masks and ran for cover. Multiple explosions shook the area, but there were no reported casualties, and only minor injuries.
Officials are advising motorists to avoid central downtown and to take public transportation when at all possible as an excess amount of cars on the roads caused yet another major traffic jam. This was compounded by a scuffle between police and an unidentified man that witnesses claim was shooting acid from his hands. Other witnesses claim it was not a man, but a monster, but official police report state it was most likely someone in a costume.
In other news, Specialty Reconstruction Services Group reports that the damage caused by what was most likely a gas explosion on a filming studio lot has been mostly repaired. Overnight work will be required to finish the job, however, and residents in the area are advised to wear earplugs and blindfolds to avoid interrupted sleep.
Cafe owners are putting out a plea to local residents to place be careful when passing by their establishments. Multiple reports of plastic patio furniture being destroyed by what some have called overzealous neighborhood watch efforts have lead to some cafes giving up on outdoor serving all together.'
While the news broadcast may seem rather innocuous, there is one decidedly odd feature. In the upper right hand corner, the placard that shows the time and date seems... strange. The date itself is oddly unreadable, despite looking like it should be able to be read easily. In fact, most people seem to be able to read it just fine, but when they say it aloud, it simply can't be heard. Or at least, not by anyone who can't see the text on the screen....
Meanwhile, back at the Quarry, it would seem that the mooks who'd caused the day's explosion have returned, undeterred to finish the next stage in their big plan. What that plan is is anyone's guess, but whatever it is, it's not likely going to be good. In either definition of the word.

A building exploded as Juggler stormed through it, storming towards the Quarry, kamitachi held up high like he just don't care.
He mad.
"OJOUSAMAAAAAAAA!"
And a mite possessed by a Shadow as he stormed towards those who would DARE tear him away from his date. The date he was specifically called out for! The date that was supposed to be COFFEE AT DAWN!
Juggler stormed towards the Quarry, intent on killing everything in his path.

.....that one.
His one.
He skidded to a stop directly in Juggler's path. "What the hell are you doing?!"

He and the others have enough trouble already with their own. Hirose's gone missing. And now there's all this all over the news?!
He breaks into a run as he heads for the quarry. He may run into you, or run over you. Oops. Sorry!

He stands there a moment, dumbfounded, before shaking himself and marching over there to give Kenzaki a good punch for what he thinks are very good reasons. "When you call someone, you're supposed to talk."
oh please don’t be XD

Meanwhile at Ginga Market
Once Riku spots whoever's idling near their store, he calls out to them.]
Ah, hey! We're still open, so take a look if you want!

[ He knows what he looks like - a big guy wearing old fatigues and carrying a big metal milkjug over his shoulders. He offsets the dangerous vibe with a bright grin and a thumbs up, even though he wasn't sure if Ankh would show up. Or even if he was around to show up.
Stuff like this never bothered him, really. He'll let other people get bothered by them instead. Even when a tiny gorilla toy robot jumps on his shoulder and starts jumping up and down. ]

Do you have anything easy to eat? Quick would be preferable right now.

"Mofurun, shhh! We can't draw attention to ourselves!" Exclaimed Mirai Asahina as she quickly paid for the candy from the vendor who closed up shop since there was trouble around.
The area was scattered with damaged plastic debris as she exclaimed, "How terrible. Look at this place, it's all damaged..."
"Liko... Liko's not here-mofu... Haa-chan's not here either, I can't smell their magic-mofu." said Mofurun. "But I do smell a lot of things, sweet scents, everywhere and dangerous scents."
"We need to follow them then," said Mirai, pulling out her wand. "Did we pack enough charges for limited single use transformation?"
"Mirai that's dangerous! We only have half of the Linkle Stones!" Exclaimed Mofurun. Suddenly, she perked up. "I smell a dangerous scent-mofu, it's coming from over there!"
And she pointed towards the Quarry.
Mirai's expression turned grim. "Then that's where we're going."

She had arrived right in the middle of the Quarry, and found herself deep in Shocker Goons. Armed with her service pistol, she was kicking and punching, firing into the crowd. Grabbing a Grunt who thrust his knife at her face, she twisted it around, bringing her pistol up at his head as she shot him between the eyes. He went down as she tossed him to the side as he dissolved into foam.
"That's new," she said, flipping her bangs away from her face as she reloaded.
"There's a lot of you, aren't there?" she said, wiping a bit of blood from her lips from where a fresh scratch was inflicted. "What I wouldn't give for Haruto to show up right about now."

"Excuse me. It looks like you need some help."
It's almost teasing, the way he says it. But he's taking care to keep his tone light when trying not to surprise someone with a gun.

Or rather, trouble was probably looking for her as Natsumi Hikari had arrived in this world, looking rather peeved at being separated from Tsukasa.
"Honestly, he goes off on one of his shenanigans again, leaving Grandfather and me behind, and all of this happens, and just when you think he's being responsible again, Yusuke vanishes for his own thing, and so does Daiki-san, and ugh!"
Natsumi walked into the ruined buildings area and frowned. "What's going on here? Not another Rider War?"
no subject
"I certainly hope not," he said quietly, walking towards her. "Hello, Natsumi. Is Tsukasa close by?"
Tsukasa's ability with blurring worlds together could explain this. Takeru dearly hopes it is not the case, though he would not object to seeing Tsukasa again. The other man can be irritating, but he's also a friend.

But if it wasn't time travel... then what? And what did that mean for everyone else?
The questions lead him back to the lab, but even as he parks his bike in front of it, he pauses. The lab had only been built a few years back, after they had outgrown the first one that BOARD's reincarnation had worked from. If it were there (with BOARD's logo prominently on the building) there was no way it could be the past.
Even more stumped now, he frowned up at the building for a long moment before getting off his bike and heading towards it. Whatever was going on... he could at the very least start collecting data to try and figure it out.
oh boy I get to use the angry driving icon
Tachibana may be startled to hear the sound of a car coming in, tires grinding on gravel. He may be even more startled by just whose car it is.

She pulled her summer top around herself, the cooler winds of the day pricking her skin as she was heading towards the nearby landmark, where she thought her school was but instead, there was a giant building labeled BOARD there. Frowning, she tilted her head. "What's going on this isn't the school, this isn't my hometown..."
A voice cut into her mind, masculine as it replied, "Hibiki. It seems that we've jumped dimensions."
"Eh? Really? But... why just us? And why are you with me?" The Accepter on her wrist flashed.
"I don't know. But I seem to be contained within you instead of a computer terminal. Curious."
"WITHIN ME? I don't know if I like that arrangement!" Exclaimed Hibiki, stepping out into the road -- and almost into Tachibana's path.

Usually he had a rough idea as to what world he was in and what Rider was in the world, but this time there was something off about this whole set up. It didn't help that he had just returned after spending the past few weeks being amused by Zi-O's world and the batch of adversaries that the kid have. It was a little fun, but he was so done with fun and just wanted to relax and have some coffee.
Which means that he completely is going to ignore the mook that comes skidding around the corner, stops to 'EEEEE' at him complete with a rude gesture, and then scrambles away as fast as the mook can to get reinforcements. In response, Tsukasa takes a picture of the retreating mook and snorts.
Time to make Masahiro Inoue's dreams come true
Mofurun instead was sniffing the air. "I smell the sweet scent coming from over there!" She proclaimed, pointing in the general direction of Tsukasa as Mirai looked over at him.
"Him?" asked Mirai, looking at the taller man. He was handsome, any girl would be attracted to a guy like him, but there was something off about him. Like, there was a difference as she was from a whole different Dimension as he was.
"Excuse me! Hello, do you know where we are?" called out Mirai, walking up to Tsukasa, tucking her wand into her purse as Mofurun went inanimate.

"That's...weird. There wasn't an attack here too, was there?"

A cup is thrown at the cafe's TV, shutting it off. Several of the patrons scatter, trying to figure out where it came from, making the one who threw it breathe in more annoyance.
"My point exactly."
Taking a bite of the remainder of his rather large lunch, Marvelous chucks the bones of the chicken he ate to the floor, and gets to his feet.
"Looks like I'm headin' to that quarry."
